Posted by Francois | Affiliate Marketing | Sunday 31 January 2010 1:35 pm

More and more people these days are turning to one of the most popular businesses around – the business of affiliate marketing. In this business, there are no bosses, deadlines to meet, or piles of work that have to be finished by the end of the day.  In order to succeed, you only need the necessary tools.

There are basically five things you can’t do without if you want to make it in the business of affiliate marketing:

1.  Desire to learn
The first quality you must possess is the desire to learn, coupled with the willingness to be trained.  Treading through unfamiliar territory is tough indeed, especially if your lacking the right knowledge. This is a combination of the right frame of mind, coupled with a strong work ethic.

When starting out, you’ll need to be willing to keep your eyes and ears open, using the experience of others to learn more as you go.

2.  Invest time and effort
The second quality you must have is the willingness to invest time and effort in helping your business grow, even if you don’t see immediate results.  Even though, at first, weeks may pass without result, it’s very important for anyone who wants to get their foot in the business world.

3.  Determination
The third quality you’ll need is determination.  If you want to make it in the world of affiliate marketing, you must possess the will to push yourself forward.  The ability to push yourself to greater heights will determine what type of future you have.

4.  Discipline
The fourth quality is self discipline.  If you teach yourself to work everyday with all of your heart and soul, you’ll be that much closer to reaching your goals and making your dreams come true.

5.  Optimism
The last quality you must have is optimism.  Bad attitudes should never discourage an affiliate marketer from pursuing their dreams in order to make life better for themselves or anyone around them.

The attitude you have towards the business should always be good, because you’ll have to realize that you’re the captain of your ship and your the one  steering it towards destiny.

If you put the above tips to good use, you’ll go farther than you ever thought possible in the world of affiliate marketing.  You’ll need these qualities to succeed, as affiliate marketing can be a cutting edge career.  With the above qualities, you’ll do just fine in the industry.

About Affiliate Marketing

Posted by Francois | Affiliate Marketing | Monday 25 January 2010 8:46 am

Affiliate marketing is the revenue sharing between online advertisers (and merchants) and online salespeople.  Compensation and pay is based on performance measures in the form of sales, and registrations.

The advertisers and merchants are normally referred to as affiliate merchants or spondors, and publishers or sales people are known as the affiliates.

Affiliate marketing programs have the potential for generating lots of money. You can automate a lot of the advertising process and receive payment only for desired results, which includes sales, registrations, and clicks. If you already have a web site it’s easy to place a few banner or text links and monetize that site by refering your members/visitors to an affiliate product or program.

Affiliate marketing has been a contributor to the rise of many companies online. Amazon.com was one of the first adopters of affiliate marketing, and now has thousands of affiliate relationships.

When it comes to making money, affiliate marketing is in a league of it’s own.  You don’t have to worry about bosses breathing down your neck, and you are in control of everything you do with your company and your website.

Affiliate marketing also gives you the chance to stand behind products you know and love, be offering links and banners to them on your personal website.  You’ll receive money for each product purchased that you represent, which is reason enough to participate.

If you’ve been looking for extra money, affiliate marketing is a good way to go.  You can stick with one merchant or go with as many as you need for your business.  Affilate marketing on the internet is truly becoming more and more popular.

Characteristics to be an Effective Entrepreneur

Posted by Francois | Definition | Saturday 16 January 2010 1:49 pm

Before a doctor diagnoses a specific disease, his patient must undergo a series of laboratory exams and assessments. He has to know the history of his patient and how lifestyle affected his present health problem. As results come in, that would be an indication of the time when a physician gives specific drugs and therapies for maintenance. This will eventually contribute to the level of optimum health for that individual. If all else fails, the process will be repeated again.

Similar to what the abovementioned situation has stated, an entrepreneur’s responsibility would be pretty much the same. It’s just that, he should see his customers as his patients and what they must have to survive a present predicament or a need. He must follow certain steps before doing anything irrational that could contribute to the downfall of his business. He should have certain characteristics innate in his personality for if he lacks one of these, he’s most probably doomed to fail.

Entrepreneurship is collectively defined as exhibiting one’s vision, taking action, and pursuing that vision as a goal to be achieved in life as service to reality. In the meaningless definition, it’s getting your butt out of that couch and doing something rather than fulfilling your life’s destiny of being a couch potato. Stated below are some of the distinct attitudes an entrepreneur should positively have:

• Optimism – is foreseeing things in a positive way notwithstanding any circumstances that may hinder progress. The assertiveness of an individual depends on his knowledge of how to handle a difficult situation

• Creativity – is thinking outside the box. Expanding one’s mind of what is beyond the ordinary through fine research and collection of data.

• Stability – either physical, mental, social or emotional, a leader must possess a stable life which means he could handle tough situations during tough times

• Charismatic – intelligence of communicating with different walks of life. Who says a charming man is less than an intelligent one? A good entrepreneur must have the certain magic glistening in his eyes and could convey enchanting words to get hold of that convincing power no one dare resist.

• Risk-taker – as someone beginning his own dream, he should be stern and must have the guts and the balls to take the big leap of plunging into his own doom or success. He should not be afraid of taking chances when opportunity strikes.

• Energetic – willing to do whatever it takes to reach to the finish line. His drive must always be at its highest level for being an entrepreneur would make you work overtime. His enthusiasm must prevail the next best thing.

• Time bound – like a written report in a newspaper, an entrepreneur must be on the top of every innovation. By looking at our past, we could predict our future.

Small businesses, in time, would turn out big if the scope of management exceeds what is expected. So it is necessary for a beginner to be positive about his endeavors. He must be very observant of what his environment lacks and needs. He should have sturdy shoulders to put on extra weight of carrying a responsibility that could change his or her life.

One’s greatest failure is sticking with the mentality of being conventional. This would be one of an entrepreneur’s greatest downfalls. Think big. Act. Make your business dreams come true.

Research and Find Your Niche Online

Posted by Francois | How-To,Marketing | Saturday 9 January 2010 7:03 pm

Deciding on what product or service you will promote should be based on a simple principle. There should be a demand for your product or service. You want to offer something that people actually need, something that will make their lives better, make them feel better physically, make them look better, or help them solve a problem.

Once you have chosen a product or service to market, researching to find the right niche for your product or service is the next most important part of beginning a niche marketing program. The things that you need to know are where they spend their time online, and what makes them tick from a personal and business point of view. There is niche marketing software out there ( Like SENUKE )that can help you learn these things about your potential niche market.

The next thing you need to learn as you research your online niche market is what you can reasonable charge for your product or service. The best and most effective way to do this is to visit sites that advertise products or services similar to what you have chosen to sell. It should be easy to see if they are giving away a service or selling the product at a price far lower than you would have to charge.

If you can determine that there are people out there who are willing to spend money to buy what you are selling and you can identify those people then you have a niche marketing product or service that can make money on the Internet. Sometimes it takes reframing your product or service to make it more attractive, better or just different than what others are selling it for. Research is the key to successful online niche marketing.

Boost About Benefits on your Sales Page

Posted by Francois | How-To,Marketing,Sales Page | Thursday 7 January 2010 8:34 am

When writing a sales page many people get focused in on writing a headline and wrapping it up.  What most people do not realize is that the heart of the sales page is very important, too.  A good headline draws them in and a great call to action may get them to buy, but if your page lacks substance in the middle then they may lose interest between the time they read the headline and the time they reach the call to action.

The middle section of your sales page should be all about why your product is just what the reader needs.  Basically, it is all about the benefits.  When you can get the reader to see why your product is the best product and why they need your product then you have them ready to buy.

Understand There is Always Something Different
The key to writing good sales copy and being able to make the benefits of your product or service stand out is recognizing what makes your product different.  You may be selling a product that has a lot of competition.  Just because you have competition, doesn’t mean you have no chance of selling.  Many companies thrive even though they have a lot of competition.  The reason for their success is that they recognized what was different about their product or service and capitalized on that.

Here are some ways that your product may be different:
- Better pricing.  Maybe you have the lowest price or you are offering more for the price.  It is no secret that consumers are driven by price and value.  If you can give them more for less or you can simply give them a better value for their money then they will buy.

- Better quality.  If you know that your product is made to higher standards than the competition or you know that your products are made with superior ingredients or components then make that clear to consumers.  Consumers do not just value a good deal, they also know that buying high quality products gets them more for their money.  In many cases, a consumer will pay more if they know a product is better quality.

- Better service.  Customer service cannot be underestimated.  Consumers may go for the lower priced items or the inferior made products, but in the end they will only remain loyal to companies that provide great service.  No consumer wants to be left hanging with questions or problems that go unanswered or unresolved.  If you can provide amazing customer service then let consumers know because it makes a big difference in the long run.

Of course, if your product is something new or has a major difference over competitors then that can be your selling point.  The idea here is to make sure that consumers see all the benefits that buying your product or service offers them.

Your goal with your sales page is to make the consumer see why they need to buy your product now.  By addressing the benefits that they get with your product or service you will be helping them to realize that they must buy because the competition cannot give them a better product or service.

The Key to a Winning Sales Page Headlines

Posted by Francois | How-To,Marketing,Sales Page | Tuesday 5 January 2010 7:29 am

The headline is the first thing a visitor sees when they visit your sales copy page.  It is the first impression they get and many times they base their decision to read on or leave just on that one sentence.  That is why the headline is such an important part of your sales copy page.

Many writers struggle over creating a headline that will win over the reader and get them to explore further.  In many cases, it is a weak headline that makes a sales copy page not effective.  That is why you have to learn the key to writing a winning sales page headline.

The Goal
To write a good headline you have to understand the goal of the headline.  The headline’s main purpose is to capture the reader’s attention and get them to read the rest of the sales page.  Now that you know the goal you can then begin to understand just what characteristics your headline needs to be effective.

Meet a Need
The main reason why people buy something is to fulfill a need.  If your headline can address a need or create a sense of need in a reader then you will have a better chance of capturing their attention.  Too often when creating headlines, writers focus on attention grabbing more than actually writing something effective.  Using bold font, all capitals or lots of exclamation points will never work.  You have to really get inside the reader’s head and make them feel compelled to find out more about what you are selling.  Do that through creating a need.

Give Them a Reason to Read On Now

It is not enough to just tell someone they need your product.  You have to make them really want to find out more right now.  Once you have a person on your sales page your goal is to keep them there and get the sale.  If they do not sense that they need to keep reading right now then chances are they will leave the page and never come back.

You have to try to create a sense that they cannot wait to find out more about your product.  You have to make your headline communicate the urgency and importance of buying right now.

Choose Words Carefully
A good headline is all about the words you use.  As mentioned, using flashy fonts or making it look good is not enough.  You have to give some substance.  Keep in mind that a headline is just a title.  It is short.  You only have a limited number of words that you can use so use them carefully.

Try to use action words.  Use words that spark emotion in people.  Your whole goal is to create a sense of urgency and need.  Focused wording is important because you have only one sentence to get them hooked.

Creating a winning headline is all about making the reader feel they need your product now.  You have to really get in touch in with human emotion when writing your headline.  You may also need to break out a thesaurus.  Just remember that your headline is your first impression and usually the only chance you have to draw the reader in and make the sale.
